The trade surplus reached EUR 2.119 bln, the balance of a EUR 251 mln deficit in trade of goods and a EUR 2.37 bln surplus in trade of services.
The primary income balance showed a deficit of EUR 1.948 bln, as investors repatriated EUR 2.331 bln from direct investments.
The balance of European Union transfers came to EUR 708 mln for the quarter.
Hungary's seasonally-adjusted net lending — the combined balance of the current and capital accounts — came to EUR 283 mln in Q4, equivalent to 0.5% of quarterly GDP. Unadjusted data show a net financing requirement of EUR 95 mln.
An amalgamation of the quarterly data shows Hungary's current account surplus reached EUR 431 mln for the full year.
The trade surplus reached EUR 10.106 bln, as the surplus in the trade of goods reached EUR 279 mln and the surplus in trade of services came to EUR 9.827 bln.
The primary income balance showed a deficit of EUR 7.095 bln as EUR 7.719 bln was repatriated from direct investments.
