The value of cash withdrawals at ATMs increased 10% to HUF 2.411 tln.
Bank cards issued in Hungary were also used to make cash payments of HUF 671 bln during the period, up 25%.
The bank cards were used to make HUF 560 bln of purchases abroad, climbing 53% from the same period a year earlier.
The number of brick-and-mortar businesses with POS terminals in Hungary stood at 141,463 at the end of September, little changed from twelve months earlier. The number of online businesses with POS terminals jumped 27% to 40,532.
The number of ATMs in the country edged down 3% to 4,780 during the period.
Purchases charged to mobile telephone balances stood at HUF 9.7 bln at the end of September.
