The issue was nearly 2.5 times oversubscribed. Following the bidding process, MBH Bank decided to issue bonds with a total face value of EUR 500 mln.

The MREL-eligible bonds have a six-year term and are callable after five years. The issuance will take place with a value date of July 16, 2026.

Including the latest transaction, MBH Group has issued EUR 1.5 bln in international bonds this year. In recent years, MBH Bank has issued nearly EUR 2.5 bln in MREL-eligible bonds under its international EMTN program.

The bank said the transaction supports regulatory compliance, while also strengthening its presence in international capital markets and its ability to finance future growth.

MBH Investment Bank again participated in the issuance as a distributor, while several other departments within the banking group also contributed to the transaction.

“International bond issuances are of great importance to MBH Bank’s strategy in several respects. On the one hand, they ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen our presence in international markets, and provide effective support for financing our growth plans. This year’s bond issuances successfully support each of these objectives and provide important positive feedback on MBH Bank’s performance and international reputation. Last but not least, it is also important to emphasize that this latest issuance was successfully completed despite unfavorable international economic and political conditions, which I believe is a significant achievement and also clearly demonstrates the strong international confidence in our bank,” said Dr. Zsolt Barna, chairman and CEO of MBH Bank.
