He added that pre-registration for the scheme would be suspended from 8 p.m. on Tuesday amid strong demand.
With the top-up, the scheme could support more than 25,000 solar panel investments, the state secretary explained.
More than 270,000 homes in Hungary have solar panels with a combined capacity of nearly 2,500 MW.
