In a regional comparison, the renewables ratio was 23% in the Czech Republic, 21% in Poland, and 34% in Slovakia.
The ratio for the European Union as a whole was 41%.
The Eurostat data show nuclear accounted for 38% of Hungary's primary energy production in 2021. Natural gas made up 11%, crude oil 10% and solid fuels 9%.
