The power plant is expected to be completed by December 31, 2009, to cost €136 million and create over 60 jobs. The investor is Kárpát Energo Zrt, a project company, majority (99.93%) owned by electricity dealer System Consulting Zrt. The contractor is MVM-ERBE Zrt, the engineering division of the electricity works MVM Zrt. In 2004 the company signed a contract with Russia’s Silovye Mashiny JSC on supplying the main power plant appliances, some of which was delivered as a $50 million “installment” of Russia’s state debt.
