French power company EDF is considering the possibility of merging its two Hungarian units, Budapest Power Plant and EDF Demasz, EDF’s director for Europe Gerard Roth said at a press conference on Thursday.
“We’re not in a hurry,” Gerard Roth said, adding that a decision on the matter was expected to be taken in the first quarter of 2012.
Budapest Power Plant generates heat and electricity. EDF Demasz is a regional electricity distributor.
