All of the equipment necessary for the plant, including a 1 MW electrolyzer from Plug Power and compressors from Ganzair Kompresszortechnika, have been delivered.
The pilot plant is set to start operating in August. Bükkábrány Energy Park, a Mészáros Group member, is partnering with the University of Szeged (170 km southeast of Budapest) on the European Union-funded project.
Bükkábrány Energy Park's 22 MW solar park is located at the site of a repurposed lignite surface mine.
