"Gazprom confirmed its commitment to operating the TurkStream for the long term and confirmed its commitment with regard to the long-term predictability of deliveries to Hungary," Szijjártó said in a video message posted on Facebook.
With the northern route for delivery of Russian gas to Europe "inoperable", he said Gazprom will "place emphasis" on delivering gas through the southern route.
"TurkStream will play an even more important role for the energy supply of Southeastern Europe and Central Europe than till now," he added.
He noted that the important elements of the TurkStream pipeline are manufactured by Russia and are unaffected by sanctions.
Szijjártó said the part of Hungary's Russian gas deliveries that comes via Austria, through the northern delivery route, will be re-routed through the southern delivery route.
"Even bigger volumes of gas will arrive daily in Hungary, so it is certain that no restrictions will be necessary with regard to gas consumption. Every household…every business will have enough gas," he added.
He said an agreement on making deferred payments for gas deliveries was "finalized" and will be signed on Thursday.
Szijjarto said he confirmed to Miller that Hungary will continue to take a stand on keeping gas deliveries and related activities exempt from sanctions.
