Following the completion of the required administrative and technical steps, firm capacity will rise to 5,300,315 kWh/h, equivalent to an increase from 3.5 billion cubic meters/year to 4.38 bcm/y.
The new capacity will be made available as a daily product starting on Dec. 1 via the Nov. 30 capacity auction.
It will also be included in all future capacity auctions in line with the CAM NC auction calendar.
The firm capacity upgrade at the Slovak–Hungarian interconnection is a key development for the Vertical Corridor.
