The biggest insurance fraud ever in Hungary was revealed by national inspection office NNyI. The suspect, R. Z. disappeared when surfing in Greece 7 years ago. The man had contracted life and passenger insurances with 6 different insurance companies for total Ft 253 million. R. Z. was hiding in a country house in the Czech Republic, while his wife and co-suspect tried collecting the payments, but the companies got suspicious and never paid. The man was found at the end of last year. The damage – with interests – is over Ft 500 million. (Napi Gazdaság)
