Hungarian oil and gas company MOL will raise its wholesale petrol and diesel prices both by HUF 5 per liter from Wednesday, industry insiders told MTI on Monday. The change will bring prices at the pump to about HUF 374-375 for petrol and HUF 372 for diesel, both record highs.
MOL last changed its wholesale fuel prices one week ago, raising the price of petrol and diesel both by HUF per liter.
Analysts earlier said that if crude oil prices continue rising over speculation and political uncertainty in the Mediterranean region and the forint weakens against the dollar, fuel prices could rise over HUF 400 per liter on the Hungarian market within two weeks.
