Hungarian insurers’ combined revenue from premiums rose 1.3% to HUF 245.3 billion in the first quarter from the same period a year earlier, the Hungarian Insurers Association (MABISz) told MTI on Tuesday. Revenue from premiums on life insurance policies rose 6.6% to HUF 126.7 billion. Revenue from premiums on general insurance policies fell 3.8% to HUF 118.6 billion. The number of insurance policies fell by more than 200,000 to under 10.8m during the period, MABISz said.
