Hestra Hungary, a joint venture by Sweden’s Hestra Handsken and Hungary’s Union Trade, on Friday inaugurated a ski glove factory in Rakamaz (NE Hungary).
The factory is on the site of an old shoe factory that Hestra Hungary bought for about HUF 100m.
The factory’s 51 employees will turn out 100,000 pairs of gloves a year at the start. Next year, the business partners want to invest a further HUF 150m-160m at the factor, tripling output as well as headcount.
