The Budapest Stock Exchange blue-chip BUX index was up 0.9% at noon on Tuesday as a positive correction of recent losses lifted the value of shares traded at bourses throughout Europe.
The BUX started afternoon trade up 208 at 23,244.37 on a turnover of HUF 5 billion.
The blue chips stood as follows at Tuesday noon:
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 1.7% to HUF 23,740 on a turnover of HUF 595 million.
OTP Bank rose 1.3% at HUF 6,066 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 5.2 billion.
Magyar Telekom was up 0.7% at HUF 549 on a turnover of HUF 110 million.
Drugmaker Richter fell 0.6% to HUF 34,200 on a turnover of HUF 859 million.
