The Budapest Stock Exchange’s main BUX index rose 0.40% to 18,877.94 at noon on Monday.

OTP Bank gained 1.23% to HUF 3,871, oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.16% to HUF 19,070, drug maker Richter lost 0.30% to HUF 36,890 and Magyar Telekom rose 0.35% to HUF 570.

Share turnover amounted to HUF 2.5 billion in the morning.

Major Western European share indices were mixed, with London’s FTSE inching down 0.05%, Frankfurt’s DAX rising 0.19% and the CAC-40 in Paris falling 0.12%.

Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw’s WIG-20 gained 0.10% and Prague’s PX-50 lost 0.65%.
