The Budapest Stock Exchange’s blue-chip BUX index opened Friday trade up 0.32% at 22,941.08.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Friday’s opening bell:
Drug company Richter was up 0.53% at HUF 36,000;
Oil and gas company MOL was up 0.44% at HUF 22,900;
Magyar Telekom was up 0.37% at HUF 547;
OTP Bank was up 0.12% at HUF 6,037.
On Thursday, the BUX closed up 0.39% to 22,867.24 on a turnover of HUF 10.21billion.
Zoltán Varga of QUAESTOR Zrt remarked that overnight gains on Wall Street suggest that the BUX index will open the Budapest Stock Exchange’s Friday session higher, noting that OTP Bank’s share value has been receiving rock-solid weak-side support at the HUF 6,000-mark.
