The BUX lost 110.67 points to 22,422.25, fluctuating in a 2.05% range between an intra-session high of 22,604.16 at 9:40 a.m. and an intra-session low of 22,140.84 at 3:05 p.m.
The mid-cap BUMIX index gained on Wednesday, advancing 10.49 points, or 0.55%, to 1,905.73.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Wednesday’s closing bell: Oil and gas company MOL lost 1.06% to HUF 23,400 on a turnover of HUF 3.94 billion; Magyar Telekom declined 0.85% to HUF 585 on a turnover of HUF 495 million; OTP Bank lost 0.41% to HUF 5,393 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 4.1 billion; Drug company Richter gained 0.41% to HUF 37,150 on a turnover of HUF 455 million.
The BSE Big Four generated 96.77% of the exchange’s composite Wednesday turnover.
Other major central and eastern European blue-chip stock indices finished mixed on Wednesday, with Prague’s PX-50 gaining 0.48% and Warsaw’s WIG-20 losing 0.38%.
