The Budapest Stock Exchange BUX index closed Tuesday trade up 0.6% at 22,611 as optimism that Greece’s parliament would approve austerity measures necessary to receive eurozone debt relief lifted blue chip indices on most European bourses.

The BUX gained 126 on a light summer turnover of HUF 8.6 billion, fluctuating in a narrow 1% range between an intraday low of 22,476 shortly after morning bell and an intraday high of 22,698 at 9:30 am.

BSE blue chips stood as follows at Tuesday’s closing bell:

Oil and gas company MOL gained 1.27% to HUF 21,575 on a turnover of HUF 1.6 billion;

OTP Bank advanced 0.96% to HUF 5,785 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 4.6 billion;

Magyar Telekom lost 0.17% to HUF 583 on a turnover of HUF 1.1 billion;

Drug company Richter declined 0.14% to HUF 36,150 on an identical turnover of HUF 1.1 billion.
