Allianz Hungária had revenue from premiums of HUF 50.7 billion in the first quarter, down 18.1% from the same period a year earlier, the insurer’s parent company told MTI on Tuesday.

Allianz put the drop down to lower revenue from policies with one-time premiums, a decline that was in line with the market trend.

Operating profit fell to HUF 4.6 billion in Q1 from HUF 5.1 billion in the base period because of the extraordinary tax on financial sector companies, said chairman-CEO Peter Kisbenedek.
