Albacomp had revenue of Ft 4.8 billion in January-April, already well over the Ft 3.45 billion in the same period in 2005, CEO Gábor Pukler noted.
Albacomp expects increases in its hardware assembly business as well as at its servicing, system integration and consulting businesses. It targets revenue from services of almost Ft 4 billion, compared to Ft 1 billion in 2005. By 2008, the company expects services to generate half of revenue.
Albacomp had recently completed a restructuring intended to make the company more profitable and ensure further growth, Pukler said. It moved all of its activities to one location, merged its two divisions and set up a better internal communications system.
Pukler pointed out that Albacomp’s profits from hardware sales reflect increasing demand for laptops and falling demand for PCs on the market. On the SME market, on which the company intends to become a bigger player, the demand for servers is growing, he added.
Albacomp employs more than 450 people.
