Prague-based used-car seller AAA Auto sold 22,240 vehicles during the first half of 2011, up 18.1% yr/yr, the company reported on Monday.

AAA Auto, which maintains its headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, sold 16,454 vehicles in the Czech Republic in the first half of 2011, up 15.9% yr/yr, and 5,786 vehicles in Slovakia during H1 of the year, up 24.5% yr/yr.

AAA Auto suspended the company’s operations in Hungary in March 2009 due to low demand stemming from the global economic crisis.

AAA Auto, listed in category B of the Budapest Stock Exchange, has generated a total of HUF 56.3m in composite turnover during the BSE’s first 75 trade sessions this year, or an average of HUF 750,728 per session. The share traded up 0.76% at HUF 265 at 9:50 a.m. in Budapest on Monday.
