According to GKI’s analysis, the proportion of people with an Internet connection in Hungary is good in an international comparison.
However, domestically, there are large regional and demographic differences, the report notes.
Based on data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH), the proportion of households with a broadband Internet connection reached approximately 93% in 2023.
On the other hand, this indicator is 10 percentage points lower in the Northern Great Plain than in Budapest.
