Investment in Hungary rose 8.7% year-on-year in volume terms in the third quarter of 2005, according to preliminary figures released by the Central Statistics Office (KSH). Third-quarter investment volume was up a seasonally-adjusted 1.7% over the second quarter of 2005, KSH reported. In January-September investment in Hungary was up 8.5% in volume terms from a year earlier. After an increase of 6.8% year-on-year in the first quarter, investment volume rose 9.4% in the second quarter compared to the same period in 2004, and was up a seasonally-adjusted 2.1% over Q1 this year according to KSH figures released on August 30. In 2004, investment volume increased 7.8% from 2003.
