Fressnapf Group is represented in 14 European countries and employs more than 18,000 people. The company has been present in Hungary since 2002 with its local entity, Fressnapf Hungária Kft. and has more than 60 stores across the country.
The first Fibs office opened in 2022 in Budapest with the goal of supporting the Fressnapf subsidiaries across Europe in the areas of finance, logistics, IT, reporting, HR, and also in customer service. With the opening of the new office in Pécs the company’s goal was to attract more and more German speaking talent within the country and build an open and supportive community. In line with the new hybrid trends, Fibs offers employees in the South region of Hungary a solution to do their work locally in a modern office environment on those days when they work onsite and improve their work-life balance with the home office options.
Markus Martens, VP of Fressnapf International Business Services, added: “According to our vision, 'Happier Pets. Happier People', we believe that happy, balanced and satisfied employees make better decisions and achieve the best results – that's what Fressnapf stands for. We are thrilled to offer our employees a flexible, hybrid workplace through our partnership with IWG's Regus brand. This arrangement allows our valued colleagues to work closer to home, reducing long commutes and enhancing their quality of life. By prioritizing our employees' well-being, we are not only able to retain our talented workforce but also attract new talent in the region.”
Pécs is a regional center in the southwest of Hungary, with a total population of about 150,000 people. The Fészek Office Building is located in the heart of the city with immediate vicinity of the post office, a railway station, bus stops, hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, parks, and the main square of Pécs.
International Workplace Group now has 12 centers in Budapest, with seven new locations to open across the capital, six of which will open this year and the remaining one in 2026. IWG will also open a further seven new locations outside of Budapest, including one in Szeged, one in Pécs, two in Debrecen, one in Budaörs, one in Biatorbágy, and one in Szentendre.
Yulia Lytvynenko, country manager & sales director for Ukraine and Hungary, commented: “The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal and we are very pleased to welcome Fressnapf International Business Services as our tenant in Pécs, showing that the solutions for hybrid working also popular outside the capital of Hungary. We are delighted that the Mayor of Pécs has agreed a collaboration with International Workplace Group, to support our workspace solutions. Attila Péterffy, Mayor of Pecs, is confident this partnership will encourage local talent to thrive in the city and attract big corporations to choose Pécs, by providing professional workspace solutions in the city center.”
