Platanus-H won HUF 108 mln in conditional European Union support for the investment which could triple turnover.
Managing director Zsolt Horvath said the company bought horseradish from 7-8 villages in the region, purchasing some 1,000 tonnes a year.
Hungary produces 15,000-20,000 tonnes of horseradish annually.
Platanus-H had revenue of around HUF 750 mln last year, Horváth said.
