The construction of buildings grew 14.7% compared to October 2024, while civil engineering increased 3.7%. Among the detailed divisions within construction, the construction of buildings saw a substantial 46.1% expansion, and civil engineering works grew 20.2%, both supported by last year’s low base. Production in specialised construction activities — the largest component of the sector — declined 12% year-on-year.

New contract volume rose significantly, exceeding the previous year’s figure by 49.1%. Within this, contracts for building construction increased 7.4%, while contracts for civil engineering surged 95.1%.

The stock of construction contracts at the end of October was 49.9% higher than a year earlier. Building construction contracts fell 10.6% year-on-year, while contracts for civil engineering works expanded 85.7%.

Over the first ten months of 2025, construction output volume grew 2.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
