Out of the two main groups of construction, the output of construction of buildings increased by 12.0%, and that of civil engineering grew by 7.7% year-on-year.
Among the divisions of construction production increased by 6.8% in the construction of buildings and civil engineering output rose by 7.8%. Specialized construction production grew by 13.5%.
The volume of new contracts concluded increased by 7.2%, within it the volume of new contracts for the construction of buildings was 32.5% higher, and the volume regarding civil engineering lessened by 24.7% in relation to the May 2021 base.
The volume of the end-of-May stock of contracts at construction enterprises was 9.7% above the end-of-May 2021 level. The volume of contracts was down by 4% for the construction of buildings and up by 20% for civil engineering, year-on-year.

In January-May 2022, construction output rose by 11.5% compared to the same period of 2021.
