MÉASZ said the market price for natural gas has quadrupled and the price of electricity has increased by 150% this year while energy costs account for 40-50% of production costs for ceramic and brick products and fibrous thermal insulation materials.
Transport costs have increased by 20-30% this year in the European Union alone, they added. In addition, prices of chemical and plastic components have stabilized at the high levels reached in the first half of this year, MÉASZ said.
