The study delved into SME managers’ perspectives on their company’s values, operations, and future.
A significant finding from the research is that around 10% of the interviewed owners and business decision-makers “fully agree,” and 35% “somewhat agree” that they feel like “slaves to their company.”
This sentiment of being overburdened is further highlighted by the fact that 24% of respondents believe their business would cease to function entirely without their direct involvement.
Additionally, 47% indicated that the company’s performance would suffer noticeably if they were no longer part of the management.
These insights underscore the heavy reliance on SME managers in Hungary to ensure the smooth operation and success of their businesses, reflecting both the dedication and the pressures faced by these individuals.
