Reuters reported that talks stalled when leaders of the two parties each proposed methods to choose joint candidates for the top of an E14-PM ticket. While E14 Co-Chairman Viktor Szigetvári assured that “There is no need for a suspension or breakup of talks … and there is no intention of that on our side,” political analyst Péter Krekó of Hungary-based think tank Political Capital commented that “Anti-government voters can consider this opposition totally incompetent. How can these people govern the country if they are unable to make any compromise on the nomination?”
