Flights to Israel as well as to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman are currently suspended. The airline said it continues to closely monitor developments and remains in constant contact with local and international authorities, aviation safety agencies and relevant government bodies.
As part of its temporary schedule adjustments, the airline has significantly increased the frequency of flights between Budapest and Sharm el-Sheikh. From Friday, travelers will be able to fly between the two cities up to 10 times per week.
According to the airline, this route currently provides the best connection within the Wizz Air network between Israel and Europe.
The company said it is continuously reviewing its operational decisions as the situation develops, meaning its flight schedule may change depending on further developments in the region.
Wizz Air thanked passengers for their patience and understanding during the disruption. Travelers with affected bookings will be contacted directly by the airline and informed about the available options.
