The carrier will provide a total of 3.2 million seats and operate more than 6,800 flights to 59 destinations through the end of the winter season, which runs until the last Sunday of March.

In recent months, Wizz Air has announced nine new routes from the Hungarian capital. During the winter season, travelers can now fly directly from Budapest to Wroclaw, Gdansk, Bilbao, Tallinn, Vilnius, Turin, and Venice. In addition, flights to Skopje will resume in March, and Billund will also return to the airline’s Budapest network.

Wizz Air has been operating from Budapest since the summer of 2004, and over the past 21 years, the Hungarian market—and Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport in particular—has remained a cornerstone of its growth strategy. The airline continues to prioritize making air travel accessible to an increasing number of Hungarian tourists, business travelers, and those visiting family abroad.

By expanding its network, Wizz Air not only strengthens connections between Hungarians living abroad and their homeland but also contributes significantly to the country’s tourism performance, as well as its economic and cultural ties.

The airline is already preparing its summer 2026 schedule, which will feature further capacity increases and new destinations tailored to Hungarian travelers’ evolving needs.
