The jury of FMCG and marketing professionals looked at the design, external look, customer-friendly attitude, functionality and environmentally friendly solutions in evaluating potential candidates, the press statement said. 

The winning store opened its doors in August 2014, and provides a modern market-type store spanning approximately 2,000 sqm, Spar said. The interior of the store is the result of an international cooperation with Spar International in the Netherlands, Spar Austria and Spar Hungary, the statement added.
