Sales eased for all categories including textiles, clothing & footwear (22.8% vs 34.6% in September); newspapers, books & other sales in specialized stores (6% vs 12.3%); food, beverages & tobacco products (22.5% vs 26.5%); solid, liquid, & gaseous fuels (20.4% vs 23.7%); motor vehicles, motorcycles, & parts (3.7% vs 6.7%); pharmaceutical, cosmetic, & orthopedic equipment (16.9% vs 18.9%); and furniture, radio, TV & household appliances (6.7% vs 7.9%).
On a monthly comparison basis, retail sales were 2.3% higher.
