On a quarterly comparison basis, retail trade turnover went down by a real 16.6% in the fourth quarter. Calculated in current prices, retail sales increased 30.9% on the year and decreased by 14.3% quarter-on-quarter in the October-December period.
In a separate report, the Podgorica-based agency said that Montenegro's average net monthly wage increased by a real 18.4% in 2022.
In December alone, the average net monthly wage grew by a real 0.8% month-on-month to EUR 727. On an annual comparison basis, net earnings rose by 35.4% in December, after going up by 34.8% in November.
The gross average wage totaled EUR 900 in December.
