It was the fifth straight month of decline in retail trade, with sales falling further for food, beverages, and tobacco (-8.2%) while non-food products dropped (-2.8%).

On the other hand, sales growth of automotive fuel in specialized stores grew by 2.1%.

On a monthly basis, retail sales dropped by 1.5% in October, following a 5.5% gain in September.
