The association said the price caps could be phased out at the end of spring or the beginning of summer.
It added that the measure, introduced by the government to ease inflation, is a "severe restriction" of market processes and should only remain in place if "absolutely justified".
Vosz acknowledged that while ending price caps would not resolve all of the problems shops face, including higher energy and labor costs, it would "contribute to their mitigation".
Government-mandated price caps now apply to granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, sunflower oil, pork leg, chicken breast and back, UHT cow's milk with 2.8% fat content, potatoes, and fresh eggs.
