Manufacturing went down 1.8%, with manufacture of tobacco (-30.1%) and beverages (-17.8%) recording the biggest decreases, while production of coke and refined petroleum products soared 61.5%, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (Crostat).
The mining output also shrank 1.8%, mainly extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas (-6.2%) while utilities production increased 2.3%. Compared to the previous month, industrial output dropped 4.3% in December.
