The agreement will further strengthen supply security in the Central and Eastern European region, MOL said, noting that its ties with KMG extended back some 20 years and it had signed a cooperation agreement with the company late in 2024.

MOL also announced the delivery of 85,000 tonnes of Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) blend by tanker at the Croatian port of Omisalj.

Kazakh crude plays an important role in MOL’s crude diversification program, and it is one of 14 crude types that have been tested at MOL Group’s refinery in Bratislava, it added.
