All three companies involved are well-known and established on the Hungarian medical market. Genium Healthcare, Family Planning and Diagnostics Center, as well as MediKids Private Pediatric Center and the DoKid mobile pediatric service will continue their operations under the aegis of MedAliance Holding, significantly enhancing the outpatient care capabilities of the firm. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
“Genium Center is one of the first family planning and fetus healthcare centers in our country, operating on a very high level in scientific and professional terms, representing a valuable addition, which very well fits the current operations of Róbert Károly Private Clinic, where more than 1,000 children are born each year,” says Dr. Lajos Fábián, chairman of the board of directors at MedAlliance Holding.
MediKids, the capital’s first private pediatric center, combined with DoKid’s mobile pediatric services, aims at providing a wide range of services and safety to families with small children.
“It’s logical, that we further strengthen our strong system built on our infertility center, pregnancy care and maternity services with peak quality fetus diagnostics and pediatric operations,” Fábián adds.
DoKid is a mobile healthcare service that provides medical attention for children and infants in patients’ homes, even during times when traditional clinics are not open. Genium Center specializes in male and female health, as well as reproduction and fetus health issues.
MedAlliance took over Róbert Károly Private Clinic, which provides specialized private out and inpatient care in the field of women’s health issues, in April. The clinic also has an Alternative Health Center, providing a safe, homely atmosphere for mothers giving birth.
The acquisitions mean MedAlliance’s private medical supply system has expanded into new locations. In Budapest, it now has a presence on Thököly út in District XIV, and Hegyalja út in District XI, alongside the Róbert Károly Private Clinic located at Lehel út in District XIII. According to the holding company, with these acquisitions the group’s yearly net revenue will grow to the region of HUF 3 billion.
