Nearly all of the warehouse and office space at the facility were in use last year, Marjan said.
Last year, 1,067 ships docked at the port and 23,000 train carriages were loaded at the facility. Budapest Dock handled containers with 342,000 twenty-foot equivalent units and loaded nearly 15,000 carriages produced in Hungary onto ships.
More than 700 people work at Budapest Dock, which has over 80,000 sqm of warehouse space. Twenty-one ships can be loaded at the port at a single time.
