Hungarian chemicals group BorsodChem on Tuesday said it is shutting down its loss-making plastic processing unit because it does not fit the business’s main profile: making feedstock for the plastics industry.
BC Ablakprofil has accumulated losses of HUF 2.2 billion over the past seven years, BorsodChem said.
The closure of the unit could leave 82 people jobless.
BorsodChem is a unit of China’s Wanhua Industrial Group. It had sales revenue of €750 million in 2010.
