Nearly 200,000 new vehicle listings were posted on the platform in January and February, indicating a highly dynamic marketplace for buyers and sellers alike.
“The users of Használtautó.hu have been particularly active this year, with close to 200,000 listings added to our platform in just two months. This is an encouraging sign, as February also saw an increase in used car transactions compared to last year, meaning there is a wide selection available for those looking for a vehicle,” said Márk Koralewsky, business unit manager of Használtautó.hu.
Breaking down the listings by fuel type, around 80,000 gasoline-powered cars were advertised, followed by 64,000 diesel, 6,400 electric, 5,400 hybrid, and 3,000 alternative-fuel vehicles.
For sellers aiming to attract buyers, Koralewsky emphasized the importance of high-quality photos taken in good lighting, capturing the vehicle comprehensively inside and out. Providing additional documentation, such as service records, can further aid potential buyers in making informed decisions. Detailed descriptions—including maintenance history and the seller’s personal experience with the car—also improve the effectiveness of listings.
Among the most sought-after models in early 2025, the Opel Astra, Volkswagen Golf, and Suzuki Swift ranked as the top choices for Hungarian buyers. Other popular brands in the top 10 included Ford, BMW, and Skoda, with BMW standing out by having three different model series among the most searched vehicles, making it the leading brand on the platform.
