The number accounted for 1% of the total 4,168,700 passenger cars registered in Hungary.

In a regional comparison, there were 22,400 battery-only EVs registered in the Czech Republic, accounting for just 0.3% of all passenger car registrations.

There were 51,200 registered in Poland, 0.2% of all registrations, and 7,900 registered in Slovakia, accounting for approximately 0.3% of the total.

For the whole European Union, the number of battery-only EVs came to 4,479,400.

This accounts for about 1.7% of all passenger cars on the road in EU Member States, Eurostat noted.
