Raba Axle, the axle unit of Hungarian vehicle and vehicle parts maker Raba, has signed an agreement with Swedish heavy truck and bus maker Scania to deliver additional axle components to the company, Raba announced on Thursday morning.
Raba said it sees a significant growth potential in the newly obtained businesses, given the complexity of the awarded products as well as the production volume.
There is also a potential to extend delivery content, Raba said, adding that, after the initial run-up, the new businesses will significantly increase annual trading volume between the two companies.
The two companies have cooperated for two years, now. Raba was first assigned to produce forged I-beams for Scania in 2007.
Raba shares trade in the A-category at the Budapest Stock Exchange.
