The detailed data show output of the computer, electronics and optical equipment segment, accounting for 9.7% of manufacturing, slipped 9.6%.

The output of the electrical equipment segment, which made up 9.4% of manufacturing output, declined 22.6%.

The output of the food, drinks and tobacco segment, which made up 12% of manufacturing sector output, edged down 1.3%.

KSH confirmed that headline industrial output fell 8.2% in June. Adjusted for the number of workdays — of which there were two fewer than in the base period — output was down 3.7%.

In a month-on-month comparison, output edged up a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 0.5%.

For the period January-June, industrial output declined 3.3% year-on-year.
