The government had to top F1’s HUF 4.2 billion state subsidy with another HUF 1.3 billion to pay the $ 22 million license fee. Hungarian F1 company Hungaroring Zrt says that the state investment is fully recovered through the extra tax income generated by the race but the survey on which the assumption lies has been questioned by experts, the paper added.
