In October alone, real wages dropped 0.4% year-on-year, Econews calculated, based on a 5.9% year-on-year rise in net wages and twelve-month CPI of 6.3% in October. Gross monthly wages rose 9.3% in twelve months to Ft 167,169 (€660) in October, and net wages rose 5.9% to Ft 106,252 (€419) during the same period. In the first ten months of 2006, gross monthly wages rose 7.9% to Ft 166,622 and net monthly wages rose 7.8% year-on-year to Ft 109,129. (Mti-Eco)
