Last summer, the broker registered more than 150,000 contracts across three months, exceeding the 2024 volume by more than 9%, and the average premium surpassed HUF 13,000, marking a 1.5% annual rise.

Croatia remained the top destination with 28.4% of policies, followed by Italy, Austria, Greece and Slovenia, which together accounted for more than 73% of summer contracts.

More than half of travelers reached their destinations by car, while 35% flew. In the first five months of 2026, Austria led with 20.6% of policies, ahead of Italy at 12.9% and Spain at 7.2%.

The average premium this year is close to HUF 11,000, reflecting a 3% annual increase, while per‑person premiums rose 6.6% to about HUF 880.

The typical trip lasts 6 days, with 2 travelers per contract. Netrisk notes that uncertainties regarding kerosene prices and the loss of certain Middle Eastern destinations may affect travel patterns, though neither is expected to reduce demand significantly.
